Hey World!

Stevie here again. I already mentioned that I am at the beginning of a new chapter in my life. The roles I have had in the previous chapters of my life as a child, daughter, mother, student, kindergarten teacher, writer, and grandmother, have all had meaning and allow me to proudly stand on, and understand the platform of the importance of reading to children. Start when they are in the womb and keep reading until they can read back to you, and then keep reading still. This was the answer to the question for 21 years of parents asking me for advice on how to prepare their child for success in school. With the new knowledge learned about how to teach students, every change to curriculum in the system, and every new program that was introduced, my conviction never waivered that the intentional habit of reading to your child every day prepared them with language and ability to listen and comprehend.
