Books are a passion of mine. Reading, writing and storytelling.
Another passion of mine is my garden . I woke up early this morning and it was breezy and cool for a change. I finished my coffee on the porch and pulled one weed which led to 4 hours of the one part of gardening that I would rather not do.
I got to the yucca plant which the blossom had seen its glory. After I chopped it down I was raking under the plant. And there it was. The UCI Unidentified crawling insect. I’m pretty old and I’ve been gardening for years. I have never seen this before. I can only describe it as prehistoric looking. Gray in color. It was probably 2 inches long. I was so mesmerized by it that I didn’t think to take a picture. I watched it crawl around and then back into the ground. I’ve tried to describe it online to get an identification but to no avail. I don’t mind insects or even snakes as long as they are outside ( snake story for another day). I will always keep my eyes open now in the garden for my wee dinosaur friend.
